With every case I have made currency conversions ($ to £   and   £ to $)

Using today’s conversion rates, these are shown on Green

Back  <<  Return to previous page.

Some registrars (Domain name Sellers) state clearly their charges, up-front.

Some I had to dig into their small print to find it.

Some showed me during the check-out process, some none of those.

So I, phoned up :-   either they did not give a clear answer, or

they suggested it was zero, and when asked about Whois

(I had already found IS charged) some said it was probably zero too.

Where charges could NOT be confirmed - the optimum cost was added, shown in Red

Breakdown of cost calculation (see the extras)

Here, in England, the total cost of a domain includes several things :-

The initial cost, plus :-

WhoIs cost + ICANN charge + VAT or Bank charges (for currency conversion).

Outside the UK it will be different - but the tables will still be very relevant.

Use a “Total Cost” table to compare costs.

The tables here, show how the total figure is found.

To go to a Simple cost comparison table :

- In Pounds (£)  >> Total Cost £

- In Dollars ($)  >> Total Cost $
